Weed Membrane

Weed Membrane

Our range of weed membranes are used in almost any gardening or landscaping project to create a permeable and protective layer between the ground and materials or products above

Our range of weed membranes are durable, tear resistant, easy to install and fully weather resistant sheets that create long lasting barriers between the ground below and your chosen covering above. Each weed membrane provides you with a shield-like sheet that prevents perennial and annual weeds from growing up and through to reach the materials or products you have installed on top, all whilst still being fully permeable and allowing rain, surface water, air and nutrients to drain naturally away into the ground and roots below. You can take advantage of a weed membrane’s many benefits in almost any project from creating driveways, play areas, paths and borders with products such as our ecolat, X-Grid, rubber play tiles, hot tub bases and shed bases.

What Membranes Do You Stock?

We stock a range of weed membranes that vary in roll size. Each weed membrane we supply will provide you with a permeable and durable sheet that will prevent weeds from penetrating it and reaching the materials or products at the surface whilst still allowing natural drainage for rain, surface water and more.

How Do You Install Membranes?

Installing a weed membrane is simple. To start either strim or cut low the area of existing turf or vegetation down to the root ensuring there are no fibrous stalks which could penetrate the weed membrane, or you can excavate the area to leave an exposed soil base. Roll out and lay the weed membrane in place before securing using either galvanised steel membrane staples or plastic fixing pegs at approximately 1 metre intervals to ensure the membrane sheet does not move once installed.
