What Is A Membrane Used For?
Our 1m x 12m membrane is a heavy duty polypropylene geotextile membrane ideal for use underneath your garden bases, landscaping or gardening projects. The membrane helps to suppress the growth of weeds and roots whilst also preventing growth of wind blown seeds leading to the growth of weeds in your base. Our tear resistant woven membrane is a tough landscaping fabric designed to be long lasting under your projects, whilst allowing moisture to permeate through the membrane to the ground below, ensuring that all necessary nutrients and liquids can pass through to the soil.
Manufactured from black, woven Polypropylene weighing 85 grams per square metre. These rolls are 1m wide x 12m Long.
Installation of the membrane is quick and simple. To start either strim or cut low to root area of existing vegetation ensuring there are no fibrous stalks which could penetrate through the membrane or excavate the area to leave just a soil base. Roll out and lay the weed membrane before securing with galvanised steel membrane staples at approximately 1 metre intervals to ensure there is no movement.
