When choosing a parasol to provide shade and shelter for your garden or outdoor space, selecting the correct base can be even more important. A base is absolutely necessary as it provides security, especially if having a parasol through your table, over garden furniture or just sheltering certain parts of your outdoor area. The bases prevent your parasol from being blown away or over when the weather worsens which could in turn damage items around your garden. With sand and water, stone and concrete-filled bases available we’re certain to have a suitable option for your requirements. Your choice of parasol also affects the base needed, for overhanging cantilever parasols you will require a heavyweight cantilever base to counteract these weight parasols whereas regular wooden parasols may only need a standard base. With a variety of parasol bases available from The Garden Range you may be wondering which would be most suitable for you and your parasol, here are a few things to consider when selecting your base. Is the base heavy enough to hold the parasol stable? With the unpredictable British weather able to quickly interrupt warm days with windy and rainy spells you should ensure the base will hold your shading solution even in inclement weather. Do you wish to move the base and parasol around your garden or outdoor space? If so, choosing a solution with wheels and/or a handle would be convenient so you can position it wherever you wish. Is the base suitable for your space? If you have a smaller outdoor area, choosing a smaller base would be the best option or if on an incline, wheelbases may not be the best option in case the brakes are accidentally not put on.
