This case study comes from a past customer who had recently purchased herself a brand new metal 7ft x 5t Shed for their garden. Which triggered a search for a suitable base, she had considered placing the shed straight onto her existing concrete slabs but decided against it and began researching for another foundation.
Annette came across our website and our fully recycled plastic bases and began reading up on their fantastic benefits. She discovered that our bases could hold up to 420 tonnes per sqm, were permeable, easy to lay and also weather & UV resistant!
Annette ordered a 7ft x 5ft Plastic Shed Base the same day she found our website and received her base the very next day! Our bases are packaged in very easy to handle packages to allow our customers to move and store their bases until the day of installation.
Annette unpacked her base the next weekend and began her installation. She installed her base straight onto existing concrete slabs. She started in one corner and laid one panel at a time and simply connected them together as she went along, the laying of her 7ft x 5ft Plastic Shed Base took no time at all.
With the base secured, Annette began filling the full area with decorative gravel (around 8kg of gravel is required to fill each panel) to create a solid surface on which she could stand a table and chairs. Again this took no time at all.
Finally, with the base installed and filled Annette could install her brand new Metal Shed onto her base.
Annette was and still is incredibly happy with her brand new metal shed and fully recycled plastic base. She was very impressed with how easy our base was to lay and how much more efficient the process is compared to concrete!
